Connecting Oxford with Europe

Who We Are

The Europeanist Society (EUSOC) is a student-led organisation that seeks to rekindle the European spirit in Oxford, which has often felt diminished since Brexit. Our mission is to provide a platform where leading European voices can engage students in conversations about the future of Europe.

What We Do

EUSOC fosters dialogue and critical debate on the key challenges facing Europe today. Through public talks, panel discussions, and informal fireside chats, we connect students with policymakers, diplomats, academics, and experts from across the continent. Alongside these academic events, we also organise social gatherings and workshops that create a strong and welcoming community.

Our Community

EUSOC brings together students and faculty from diverse backgrounds who share an interest in Europe and the European Union. With over 200 members spanning multiple disciplines and countries, we are proud to be one of Oxford’s most international student societies. Our members include aspiring policymakers, researchers, and professionals, all united by a passion for European cooperation and dialogue.

Our Vision

We aspire to connect Oxford with Europe’s future by linking our community to the institutions and actors that shape European affairs. Through close ties with the European Parliament, the European Commission, think tanks, and civil society organisations, we aim to make Oxford a vibrant space for debate on Europe’s role in a changing world.
